Eze, France: Picture-Perfect perfume Village

By Erin Deborah Waks

If, like me, you find yourself spending these cold February days planning ahead for the brighter summer months and scrolling through your camera roll for a glimpse of the sun you know is to come, look no further. Last summer, I ventured alone to the south of France. While my stop in Nice was, of course, fabulous, my trip to the nearby village of Eze was, in a word, magical. This is my journey through pictures.

Walking up through the entrance of the village, you’ll find ingeniously placed cafes with spectacular views to enjoy a coffee or ice cream.

Pretty doorways plastered with foliage are a hallmark of the tiny village.

The walk up through the botanic gardens are worth it for the view alone.

Stop and take in the meditative scenery, scattered with little gems of poetry.

This region of the world is known for its perfumeries, and Eze houses two factories: Galimard and Fragonard. It’s really worth a stop - I went on a guided tour of the former.
