Catching a flight on your own is the best kind of expression of your independence.

Your favourite kinds of books are simple ones about real life. And love. Of course.

The special power of the silent moment spent sipping your coffee. The little pleasures.

Good friends, good people, are not just confined to one place, one time of your life. You will find gems wherever you go. Hold on to them.

The best birthday does not have to be celebrated with your oldest friends. It just needs some really, really, good ones.

I do not just want to write. I need to.

Trust in yourself when making decisions. You already know what you want to do.

Being surrounded by art, by history, by culture, is always a good idea.

Summer, heat, and sun are great. But winter, lattes, and coats are even better.

Inspiration can strike in the most inconsequential of moments. Always have a notebook at the ready.
